The Law Office of Rob Cochran serves as primary, outside corporate and securities counsel for emerging growth corporations in high-technology areas, and as transactional securities counsel to venture capital funds. We also represent mature corporations, some overseas, where sophisticated, trusted U.S. business legal counsel is needed.
For early stage companies, we serve as a "one-stop shop" (exclusive of certain specialty functions, such as patent prosecution) from a practical perspective.
That is, entrepreneurial executives can seek guidance, based on Mr. Cochran's deep experience, on how to minimize the legal budget while building the foundation of the company's value. We are distinguished from most large law firms by offering a much higher level of experience to early state corporate clients.
Our office is in Woodside, California, approximately one mile north of well know "Sand Hill Road," the preeminent location for venture capital funds based in the United States. Our clients are based either in the Silicon Valley or the Pacific Rim.
Over the years, we have represented dozens of venture and / angel funded semiconductor, software, hardware, bio-tech, med-tech, medical device, networking telecom and fiber optics companies, many of which became successful, we hope at least in small part due to our guidance.
